Selección Familiar
Manufacturer:
Mike Ritchie
Tasting: Bierzo Mencia
Fully mature and developed style. Sweetly ripe and amply powerful on the palate, with a porty and spirit-like edge. Mouth-filling and mouth-numbing.
Pedro Ballesteros
Tasting: Bierzo Mencia
A bit developed, with nice ripe fruit notes, berries and plums. A bit of chocolate. Full bodied but suave, with smooth tannins and balanced acidity. Slightly alcoholic finish, open and enjoyable. Classic oxidative style.
Sarah Jane Evans
Tasting: Bierzo Mencia
Bright floral, blackcurrant aroma overlaid with cedar. Boldly fruity with juicy primary fruit, followed by bramble tang of fruit; oak plays a back seat, and finish is long and still reasonably lively with a good fresh impression.
