Crooked Brook
Manufacturer:
Andrew Jefford
Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay
Light to mid-gold. Rather dull, dreary aromas; more cardboard than fruit. Tangy, light, relatively simple Chardonnay with no great depth or poise, though it has some pale nectarine fruit. A decent one-glass wine.
Roger Jones
Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay
Ripe on the nose, soft beeswax and spices, rich and opulent in the mouth, ripe and luscious, toasted apricots. Wine to keep.
Alessandro Marchesan
Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay
Rich and voluptuous with ripe tropical fruit notes and vanilla well integrated oak. Creamy texture, beautifully integrated oak and long tropical fruit aftertaste. Wonderful example of rich and oaky but wonderfully made chardonnay.
