Tasting: Vosne-Romanee 2010

Reserved nose, with light raspberry fruit. Medium-bodied, discreet, quite delicate and silky, Has some charm and lift but lacks depth of flavour and personality. Acidity perks up the palate, but this is correct rather than exciting or complex. Moderate length.

insubstantial fruit, with some leafiness;
balanced on palate, but lacks fruit concentration,dilute on finish.

A slightly lighter colour and little initial bouquet. This is a gentle approach with medium density bright red fruit, quite high acidity and a touch of oak at the back. It may need time to settle down or may be a wee bit undernourished.
