Tasting: Napa & Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

Some greenness on the nose, but that gives it some freshness. Medium-bodied, a bit sweet, simple, upfront, rather jammy and a touch hot. Lacks acidity and persistence. Commercial, with no typicity. Medium length.

Very intense wine with lovely notes of dark fruits, bitter chocolate and tobacco. The oak is well-integrated, with great, firm tannin.

Coffee bean and broody fruit in nose. Modern, well-made, if a little dominated by the oak at the moment. Should integrate nicely.
