We are delighted to announce that Decanter will be hosting an intimate BYO Burgundy wine dinner in New York on Friday 17 June, the evening before the inaugural Decanter Fine Wine Encounter NYC.
Join Decanter Burgundy contributor Charles Curtis MW for an unforgettable evening of fine food and fine wine at Benoit New York, a contemporary French bistro by Alain Ducasse, located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan.

Along with an all-star wine line up of Burgundy bottles that will be opened throughout the evening, we invite you to bring a personal treasure from your cellar to share with friends and fellow Burgundy lovers.
These special wines will be enjoyed around an exceptional three course dinner created by executive chef Alberto Marcolongo in Benoit’s private dining rooms.
For Decanter readers unfamiliar with this tradition, we offer the following guide to our festive dinner:
- Guests will have the opportunity to bring a special treasure from their cellar to share with friends (we will work with you to accommodate seating requests).
- The bring-your-own format is a convivial celebration of Burgundy and friendship that dates back to its origins as a celebration of the end of harvest by vineyard workers.
- The format of the dinner is completely relaxed and styled for hedonistic enjoyment.
- This event offers the opportunity to bring that rare bottle from your year of birth, or the DRC that you’ve been hoarding for ‘the right occasion’ or any other bottle that seems too special to drink for just any dinner. You will have your bottle in front of you, and you may share it with whomever you choose.
