California producer Wente Vineyards announced today it would be donating US$3 per bottle bought during February and March to the victims of the recent tsunami disaster.
‘When the news of the tsunami devastation reached us, everyone at Wente Vineyards asked what we could do to help the families affected by this tragedy,’ winegrower Carolyn Wente said.
‘Through contributions to Feed The Children, we have decided to donate a significant portion of revenue from wine sales for a two-month period to help relief and recovery efforts in Asia.’
The program will be promoted at retail locations throughout the US and Canada with bottle neckers that provide details of the donation program to customers purchasing Wente Vineyards wine, just-drinks.com reports.
