‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ presenter to run wine estate

Günther Jauch, presenter of Wer wird Millionär - the German Who Wants to be a Millionaire - is to take over Weingut von Othegraven.

The German estate’s current owner Dr Heidi Kegel is retiring, having run the 12.5ha estate since her aunt’s death in 1995.

The winery has been managed by women since the late 19th century.

Jauch, a relative of Kegel, is a popular TV star and philanthropist.

‘The winery will pass to Mr Jauch some time this year. It is time for me to retire,’ Kegel told decanter.com.

‘For the time being everything will stay the same – the cellar master, the office manager, the wine.’
