The Uco Valley has been instrumental in refining the whites of Mendoza, especially Chardonnays such as this one made by Jorge Cabeza with grapes from San Pablo – a cool mountain region at a height of 1,400m feet. Yellow with golden flecks, the nose presents notes of green apple, lime zest, honey, vanilla and hints of butter. In the mouth, it’s creamy with a vibrant freshness lively enough to go with grilled pork chops topped with a mushroom sauce.
