Aldi's Chardonnay offering is not a strong point, so buy this instead and you won't be disappointed. It's ripe but not heavy, as some Viogniers can be, and has all the exotic varietal character you'd expect – perfumed peach, apricot and jasmine – balanced by zippy lemon acidity.
