Malbec fans are spoiled for choice by Waitrose at the moment, with a number of great-value Malbecs on the shelves. Dense and opulent, the focus here is on sweet black fruit, but there's also tension and structure, with well-integrated oak. Full-bodied and tannic, this is from organic fruit grown in the high reaches of Tupungato's Gualtallary district. Spends 8-10 months in second use French oak.
