Doña Paula, Altitude 1350, Uco Valley, Mendoza, 2017

This Cabernet Franc-Malbec has brisk grapefruit acidity thanks to 5% of Casavecchia. Only 100ha of this variety remain in its native Italy, but Doña Paula has a plot of 0.5ha. Distinctive, with wild purple bramble fruit, chalky tannins and spicy oak.
