Torrontés is usually unoaked, so this is an unusual but well made example from one of the country's best known winemakers. Grapes from the Finca la Delfina vineyard in Altamira at 1,150m are fermented and aged for four months in new French oak barrels, which gives good structure to the peachy, floral fruit that has a real stalky, herbal streak. If you like Bordeaux Blanc, this is a nice alternative.
