Trapiche, Terroir Series Finca Ambrosia, Uco Valley

The Finca Ambrosia vineyard lies at 1,300m in Gaultallary. Grapes are hand-picked and aged in a combination of new French oak barrels and a 500-lite foudre for 18 months, with a further year in bottle before release. Harmonious aromas of ripe black berries and black cherry, with violets and a whiff of smoke. The palate is deep and alluring, with smooth, silky black fruit, a core of minerality, seamless tannins and uplifting freshness. The smooth lingering black berry finish is edged in spice: plenty of drinking pleasure.
