Dating back to 1831, Bodega Colome is Argentina’s oldest winery. However, there’s nothing remotely old-fashioned about this bristlingly good high-altitude Torrontes, which has been farmed biodynamically. It has an intense nose of lychee and aromatic botanicals. Old vine fruit brings some complex ripeness and depth, with tropical fruit, lychee and Turkish delight flavours. There’s a bright grapefruit-like acidity (partly thanks to no malo and early picking), allied to a viscous texture on the palate.
