Tesco, Finest Dessert Semillon, Riverina, 2015

Produced by Australia's famous De Bortoli family, which has built a reputation in particular for its excellent sweet wines.The Riverina region has a warm Mediterranean climate with frequent rain showers, and the grapes for this are left on the vines to develop botrytis, with each vineyard plot fermented separately over several months. This is a deliciously drinkable fresh style, with just 21g/l of residual sugar. It has orangey citrus and apricot notes in the glass, with refreshing acidity. Good value and not too sticky!
