Blind Spot, Montepulciano, Riverland, South Australia, 2020

Montepulciano from Riverland is the choice for this Blind Spot red – from a small parcel of grapes chosen and vinified by the talented winemaker Mac Forbes, like the other Australian wines in this range of great value wines. Bottled under screwcap, this is bright ruby in colour, with fleshy, herby plum fruit. It's straightforward and easy drinking, though not my favourite red in the range.
