I LOVED this new Australian listing, sourced by The Society's Australia buyer, Freddy Bulmer. The 'Caveman' name and the region of origin (Barossa) might lead you to expect a monster – this is anything but. Think New World alternative to Beaujolais or Dolcetto, a lively unoaked red, deeply inky purple in colour and oozing fresh and juicy ripe black plum and cherry fruit. There's also a hint of demerara sugar. I'd serve this slightly chilled. Totally irresistible.
