Underripe redcurrants, cherries and blackberries combine with tomato leaf, vanilla and spice. It’s mouthfilling and fleshy, with a decent dusting of tannin lending grip and texture. Not very aromatic or perfumed, but the acidity is fresh, if the alcohol is a little pokey. Medium-bodied and concentrating on juicy red fruits. From vineyards across South Australia, this is an unexpected grape to find here. It is unoaked and wild fermented.
