The second vintage of Wirra Wirra's new Cabernet Sauvignon; the initials stand for McLaren Vale Cricket Ground – reference to an unrealised dream of the late Greg Trott to build a world class ground in his home village. A significant portion of fruit comes from the biodynamic Bell Tower vineyard, with 10% Shiraz rounding out the mid-palate. Fresh nose of blackberry, blackcurrant and cherry, with a hint of dark chocolate. Supple cassis fruit on the palate, with fresh acidity, hints of eucalyptus and green bell pepper, with grainy, chalky tannins adding poise and structure.
