Tesco, Finest Tingleup Riesling, Western Australia, 2020

This Western Australian Riesling has been in the Tesco line-up for a long time, and offers great bang for the buck. Supply is limited at the moment but another big shipment will be on the shelves by September. It's made by Howard Park Wines, a respected producer, and contains a dash (1%) of Chardonnay. Fresh and aromatic, and completely dry, it has fruit salad aromas that leap from the glass, tropical, with some talcum powder perfume. Fruit forward, racy and with good length, it's a classic match for Thai dishes or simply grilled fish.
