Johannes Trapl, TR Sankt Laurent, Carnuntum, Austria 2018

An unfiltered organic wine made of St Laurent from the Carnuntum region of Lower Austria. Funky farmyard, sour cherry and savoury soya jump out of the glass. With alcohol at just 10.5%, it's light and saline on the palate with bright acidity. Gamey red cherry notes are spiced up with a pinch of white pepper. An interesting wine perfect for smoked meat.
