Federspiel' on the front label of this smartly packaged Grüner Veltliner indicates that it's a lighter style of the grape, and indeed the alcohol is modest at just 12%. It's not as fruit forward as some examples of Gruner, but displays an attractive spice and lively pepperiness, as well as some firm apple fruit.
