Haywire, Free Form Vin Gris, Okanagan Valley, 2017

A pale pink Pinot Noir from organic grapes. It’s pricey – as are most Canadian wines in the UK – but very elegant, with an exotic musky nose and flavours of guava, yellow plums and white flowers. Brisk acidity and nice texture from fermentation and ageing in concrete.
