Canadian icewine never comes cheap, but this 100% Vidal from some of the best vineyard sites in Niagara is worth splashing out on for a special occasion. The naturally frozen grapes are harvested during the night at -10˚C and pressed frozen, yielding a concentrated sweet wine (188g/L residual sugar), dripping with fleshy, overripe peach fruit. It's lusciously ripe, but with the acidity to keep it fresh and balanced. Only available in 10 stores, but you can order through Waitrose Cellar.
