Deep, intense purple colour. A clean and precise iteration of Chile’s flagship variety, this shows a herbaceous blackcurrant and tomato leaf nose, with notes of currants rolled in iron filings. Full-bodied, the sweet blackcurrant fruit fills the entire mouth, coating every inch in a gentle layer of succulent, juicy tannin, which is required to bring balance to the wine. A powerful wine with elements of finesse from crunchy plum skin, cherry stones, cherry skin and a touch of bitter greenness. This certainly has a place at the dinner table. Fermented in stainless steel then aged in French oak barrels (25% new) for 12 months.
