Errazuriz, Max Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon, 2014

A Cabernet Sauvignon blend, aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. It opens with leafy cassis notes and a hint of cinnamon. There is plenty of tannic grip on the palate, with a textured character to the mouthfeel. Herby notes sit alongside black fruits and black pepper spice. The finish is quite long. but a bit one-dimensional and with a touch of alcoholic warmth showing through. At its best with food.
