VIK has one of the classiest winery hotels in the New World. If you can't get there, console yourself with this equally classy and warming red wine. There's a lovely balance here between primary juicy fruit and a slightly evolved savouriness. Some boot polish and coffee, adding complexity to the fresh, ripe fruit.
