You may be put off by the £3.99 price-tag – particularly in combination with its Central Valley origins. However, this example of Pedro Ximenez (a grape usually used to make pisco in Chile) is worth trying for its crisp, lemony citrus fruit character. It's light and slightly rustic, but good at this very low price. Part of Lidl's core range.
