Lapostolle, Cuvée Alexandre Cabernet Sauvignon, 2018

Fruit comes from a single block of Cabernet planted 80 year’s ago in Apalta. It’s a chunky wine with bold oak influence and a patchwork of classic Cabernet characters; blackcurrant, mint, chocolate. Very drinkable but a touch unbalanced with the hefty 14.5 abv a little too obvious.
