Viña Ventisquero, Enclave Cabernet Sauvignon, Alto Maipo

Ventisquero's flagship Cabernet will appeal to lovers of Bordeaux and Napa Cabs. Sourced from two plots of vines in Alto Maipo at 750m and 1,000m, the blend also includes 7% Petit Verdot, 5% Carmenere and 2% Cabernet Franc. From 'one of the warmest vintages ever in Maipo' according to winemaker Felipe Tosso, it boasts complex aromatics: fresh blackberry, cassis and ripe plum fruit, with notes of chocolate and white pepper, plus a floral potpourri edge. Aged in new and used French oak for 18 months, the poised palate has beautifully integrated, fine tannins and great purity of fruit. Layers of spicy black berries and fresh red berries, laced with herbal, graphite and savoury tones, plus a streak of minerality. Lifted and harmonious, with a long, lingering finish.
