Aldi's best bargain is undoubtedly the 2020 Estevez Pinot Noir (£3.99) but for a more serious and intriguing Chilean red in that lighter Pinot style, this won't disappoint. From old, dry-grown bush vines (including 10% Carignan), it shows bright balsamic cherry and minty red berry flavours, good acidity and earthy spice tones from time in old oak.
