Matetic, Corralillo Riesling, San Antonio, Chile, 2016

The Matetic family planted vines in cool-climate San Antonio, just 18km from the Pacific ocean, 30 years ago, recognising the area's potential for producing zesty, aromatic whites. Their well-priced dry Riesling is a great everyday drinking wine, offering spicy, peach fruit, juicy and firm. It's not a petrolly style of Riesling, but is clean, ripe and fresh.
