Ante Sladić, Debit, Skradin, Dalmatia, Croatia, 2023

Debit is the most common white variety in the region around the Krka River valley and the hills of Skradin. This one is bright and made entirely of stainless steel with a meagre 11.5% abv. The fruit for this wine comes from the richer limestone soils on the north side of Sladić's vineyard, where the fruit gets less sun. It's got brilliant stony mineral aromas with piques of tart citrus zest. The palate is smoky and a hint reductive with smoky grilled lemon peel, lime zest and salty sea air.
