Plavina is another crunchy, red-fruited Dalmatian varietal that spends 12 months in Slavonia oak barrels. Its hallmarks of tart fruits and savoury herbs are all over this wine: wild red berries, crushed fresh cranberries and roughly chopped mint leaves. The palate offers hints of sweet red raspberries, spicy chicory root and turned earth minerals, which carry forward to the finish.
