Trnjak is an endangered variety that nearly went extinct 15 years ago but is coming back in the region around Imotski and across the border in Herzegovina. Made with 20% new oak, it has aromatics of dried lavender, smoky clove, and bright sterling berry fruits – mouthfuls of mountain herbs, dried anise, and spiced red plums with Montmorency cherries.
