Muré - Domaine du Clos St Landelin, Côte de Rouffach

Twelfth-generation winemaker Thomas Muré produces this delightful Pinot Noir from 40 year old vines in a sunny spot, sheltered from harsh weather by the highest peaks of the Vosges mountains. Grapes are farmed biodynamically and hand-picked, and the warm microclimate gives this Pinot Noir ripeness and depth, with no loss of freshness. Delicate wild strawberry aromas leap from the glass, leading to a charming, bright red berry and cherry melange on the palate. Young but already delicious.
