Domaine de la Croix de Chaintres, Saumur-Champigny, 2015

The Filliatreau family played an important part in reviving this appellation in the 1970s. Today the domaine is managed by siblings Fredrik and Christina, the fourth generation. This 100% Cabernet Franc from 30 year old vines displays beautiful crunchy red fruits with some herbal hints. This is a perfect summer red to enjoy slightly chilled with grilled meat and charcuterie or on its own while the barbecue is warming up!
