Château Beaumont des Pierrières, Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux

Smooth and succulent, a lovely brightness to this, crisp and crunchy fruit with high acidity, gorgeous succulence here, really quite pretty with a clean, almost mineral slatey grip on the tongue. Nothing harsh here, supple with well integrated, really quite juicy with pristine fruit - red cherry, strawberry and blackcurrant. Really not trying too hard and out to be a crowd pleaser. Not weighty or heavy, not much of a grippy texture but this is finessed. From sandy soils - 90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in barrel for six months. Certified HVE3.
