Château Faurie-de-Souchard, St-Émilion, Bordeaux, 2015

Now owned by Ch Dassault. Dark, ripe fruit with a slight jammy edge but fine grain of tannin, length and balance. Extraction correct.

The 2015 was still under ownership of the the Sicard family, although it says Dassault on the label as the current owners, Château Dassault, oversaw bottling. It has a clear tar and charred redcurrant character on the nose. It's not as elegant as Dassault itself, straying a little too far over the line for me.
