Château Haut Grela, Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux, 2020

Round and full, fleshy almost in the slightly chewy blackcurrant and red cherry fruits, but offset by really quite high acidity that has a dominant mineral tinge to it. Quite a metallic aspect on the finish alongside liquorice, slate and some toasted aromas. Feels quite a pushed style, a little over extracted perhaps and overripe, plus a bit constricted by the oak.
