Château La Croix des Moines, Lalande-de-Pomerol, 2022

Perfumed and intensely aromatic on the nose. Dense and concentrated, tannins are ripe and full but stop short of being too plush or weighty in the mouth. Cool blue fruits join soft acidity to give a round, serious feeling on the palate with liquorice, cedar and clove spiced edges. Feels well worked with mineral touches that are appealing. In a calm phase, quiet but confident with hints of juiciness and savouriness adding to the whole. A touch dry on the finish, the tannins just making the final impression but lots to like here. 3.8pH.
