Drinking Window: 2021 - 2024
This thoroughly modern claret is classified as a cru bourgeois, often a good hunting ground for value in the Médoc. It's roughly half-half Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, from 25-year-old vines grown on gravel and chalky-clay soils. It's unoaked, and eminently approachable, with juicy red fruit, a hint of sun dried tomato, and an earthy savouriness. Part of the Waitrose 10 at £10 pre-Christmas promotion, this will be on offer at £10, from 1st to 14th December 2021 – a steal at that price!
