Château Labrousse, Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux, Bordeaux, 2023

Lovely tropical and fresh green fruit aromatics, bright and lively, but an element of richness too with faint hints of peach and quince. Sharp and tangy, a lovely burst of bright fruit with high acidity but countered by a filling texture. Straight but also layered. A little compact still and affected by oak but has good potential and lovely aromatics and freshness. A 50/50 blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. This will be bottled in May.
