Château Montfollet, Le Valentin, Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux

Lively and fresh, you get some spiced notes and a touch of chewines which gives this a certain amount of enjoyable density. Fels well made, sleek and enjoyable with plenty of flavour. Feels a bit young and tight still, a little focussed, but there's good detail on show. There's also power underneath, this isn't a light wine but it's got grip and drinkability. A little grainy, but give this a couple of years it'll be good.
