Château Penin, Grande Sélection, Bordeaux Supérieur, 2012

Forest flavours, brambles and mushrooms on the nose, this smells autumnal and savoury and like it has age. The palate is round and filling, this feels well-made and complete with notes of rhubarb, black cherry and currants. A nice mid-point between the newer vintages and the old, feels like a good time to drink it. Easy and approachable.
