Château Penin, Les Cailloux, Bordeaux Supérieur, 2011

On the nose there are notes of green pepper, oak spice and bramble fruits. The palate feels a little dry, tannins are immediately present and seem to overpower the fruit - though there are hints of cherries and red plums before the dryness kicks in. Just lacks the bright acidity that the 2012 has and feels tired.
