Savoury and vegetal on the nose, this smells more earthy and forest-like with hints of tobacco and dark chocolate. The texture is lovely, grippy but with a mouthwatering acidity that softens the tannic feel around the mouth. Some cooling elements, liquorice and eucalyptus on the tongue. Long length with fresh fruit flavours of blackcurrants, cherries and plums. A wine that has great drinkability now - with some hearty food, though will continue to improve with age. It's bold, rich, heady but with a juicy charm.
