Château Penin, Natur, Bordeaux, 2016

Beautifully perfumed on the nose, aromatic and appealing with notes of violets and blackcurrant boiled sweets. The texture is velvety soft, rich and dense but with a lightness of touch. Flavours are deep and seductive, dark berries, spiced blackcurrant and touches of wood spice around the edges. A bigger wine than the later vintages, with so much underlying power. Lovely stuff. No sulphur is used in the vinification or storage of the Natur wines.
