Château Penin, Natur, Bordeaux, 2018

Dark and more closed with black fruit flavours at the fore - plums and cherries. The palate is so smooth, less immediately juicy than the 2019 but still with freshness. Tannins are present but gentle with a lovely concentration on the mid palate. Darker in profile with a soft finish. Perhaps a bit subdued and rustic but with plenty of underlying flavour to see it evolve over the next few years. A wine made with no sulphur or other additives.
