Quite a strong, dark, heady nose, feels a little tight from the nose, smokey and woody. Tight and tannic, feels quite highly charged in terms of compactness and colour of fruit - dark - but there's nice acidity and some underlying freshness which gives this lift. Has good potential for sure, and I like the almost sweet juiciness. From a 7ha property on pure clay. A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, ageing in barrel for one year.
